We are very pleased to bring to market this very nice Ford Cortina 2.0 GL MK5 from 1981, making this one of the last Cortinas before the Sierra came and blew our minds.

This example was first registered on 2/11/1981 to its first owner from Laidlaw Ford in Brentwood, and is finished in Strato silver with the grey velour and green carpets - a combination that is very much of the time but still looks great even by today’s standards.

The condition is really nice – yes, it has had some paint in its time as you would expect for a car of this age (44 years old) but it looks fantastic.

The paint is very good, and the interior is almost unmarked and in pristine condition, as is the chromework.

Being the MK5, it has the wood finish and smarter interior than the MK4.

The car is completely as it left the factory except for an upgrade on the radio, but if you wanted to, it is an easy thing to put right.
