This Derby Bentley was first registered in July 1936 and fitted with a Park Ward four door saloon body, ‘B65GP’ was to cost John Newbould Esq.

the grand total of £1,510 - that would be £1,150 for the chassis and £360 for PW body.

A sum that, at that time, could have bought a row of five cottages.

Moving forward to the early 1980s when this Bentley was bought in Ireland and returned to the UK where, with a little help from the Bentley Drivers Club, it was reunited with its original registration number.

Thereafter, a complete restoration costing circa £30,000 (approx £135,000 in todays money) was undertaken including the commissioning of a brand new body in the sporting style of Vanden Plas.

The work was trusted to the renowned workshops of Roevin Restorations, based in Stretford Manchester and overseen by Roy Ashton.
