AI Listing Summary

This 1972 Audi 100 S Coupe is a rare survivor with low ownership (7 previous owners) and a fascinating history, supported by extensive documentation and a memory stick. While the 'S' model designation isn't confirmed in the paperwork and the original yellow color was changed in 1977, its maroon metallic finish is well-executed, and the car presents beautifully, with a valuation from Audi Owner’s Club of c.£24,000.

Condition

7

The car is described as being in lovely condition for its age, with a very fine interior. While a repaint is suggested as an option to tidy it up, it isn't essential, suggesting only minor cosmetic imperfections. The extensive history and included extras like the owner's handbook and spare keys add to its appeal and condition.

It’s not very often you see one of these, let alone one that is for sale! We are very grateful to our vendor for providing us with this opportunity and we would think whoever buys it will be even more grateful when they get it home.

We are sure you know what it is, it is an Audi 100 Coupe from 1972.

Although it is badged as a ‘S’ model and we are quite sure it is, the paperwork doesn’t confirm it so please satisfy yourself that you are happy with what it is.

The HPi tells us that it was first registered on 1/3/1972, is a UK supplied example, has only had 7 previous owners in 53 years - rather good for a car of this age - and that it was originally yellow but the colour was changed in 1977.

Looking at it in the flesh, it’s hard to believe it had a colour change, but if it did, it was done very well and it really suits the maroon metallic it is now.

The history is very interesting, as it has a large collection of invoices and receipts going back over many years, a host of older MOTs...
