The Brera S story supposedly begins with Alfa’s then-UK marketing chief, Nicholas Bernard, who concurred with the consensus of opinion at the time, and believed the new Brera coupe was suffering from something of an identity crisis.

Somehow, he managed to convince the higher-ups in Italy to give Prodrive a ring and commission them to build a limited-run performance model specifically designed for the UK market.

The key changes were pretty substantial, doing away with the heavy four-wheel drive system and returning to front drive, lowered suspension using Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers and fitting Prodrive’s own Alfa inspired 19” wheels.

Number 482 that we have here is finished in Alfa Rosso red with Pelle Frau seats trimmed in Black leather and contrasting red stitching including dash and centre console.

Brera S seat plaques and a modern touch screen display also feature.
