The Jaguar Mark IX (9) is a four-door luxury saloon announced on 8 October 1958 and produced by Jaguar between 1958 and 1961.
It was generally similar to the Mark VIII (8) it replaced, but had a larger, more powerful 3.8-litre engine, 4-wheel disc brakes, and power assisted recirculating ball steering among its mechanical improvements.
This lovely unspoiled example comes to us from a deceased estate and as such has not been on the road for over 12 months.
Finished in Cornish Grey over Mist Grey with red leather interior, it was manufactured in early November 1959 before being registered for the road on the 1 st January 1960 in the name of the first owner, Bailey and Stride Limited.
We understand that the Jaguar lived in Norway at some stage (which may explain the Norsk Jaguar Klubb badge at the front of the car) before being repatriated back to the UK.
The deceased vendor bought the car in 2018 for £23,250 from Jeremy Wade (Classic car specialist).
