The Cortina MK1 was launched in 1962 as a 2 door 1200 saloon, with the 1500 following in 1963.

This ‘Super’ version of the Mark 1 Cortina features the latter 1500 engine with an automatic gearbox, and as such is a rare thing.

This example has had the benefit of being previously restored, and as such it looks great with a hint of age and patina.

There are pictures in the file of the aforementioned restoration, although these are undated.

There are also pictures of the car in the 2000s.

The exterior condition is very tidy, although the front and rear bumpers have some surface rust present.

The rest of the chrome appears in good condition.

The red interior is lovely and to some extent belies the age and mileage of the car.

The seats are in good condition, as are the interior plastics and materials.

The original steering wheel would appear to be fitted which is a nice touch.
