We are delighted to bring to market this stunning Austin-Healy 3000 MK1 BT7, probably the one to have.
This beautiful example was supplied new to its first owner, believed to be a Mr Howes from Coventry, and was registered through The Motor Taxation Office in Broad Street, Birmingham on the registration number ‘600 AOV’ which it still wears today.
We know this because the car amazingly still retains its original brown “buff” logbook, then the old green logbook before it goes into the more modern V5 and V5Cs that we know today.
What a fabulous piece of history to have! The current owner bought the car in May 1982 for the princely sum of £1,500 as a restoration project, we have the invoice to demonstrate this.
He then went about restoring the car to the highest standard, which is proved by the accompanying photograph album showing various stages of the works carried out.
