We are very pleased to offer this very interesting Standard Eight that has had a lot of time, effort and money put it into what you see today.

It is finished in gleaming black with a red interior completed with a Corbeau race seat and full roll cage and has the benefit of a matching set of Dunlop tyres.

The appearance is stunning, but that is only half the story on this charming little car.

We are indebted to the vendor for the following information: “In the Standard’s heyday, very few competitors would have chosen the car to go circuit racing but, unlikely as it may seem, it was a capable rally car, as evidenced by Jimmy Rays outright victory in the 1955 RAC Rally and other strong showings at international level throughout the mid-to-late 1950s.

However, modern technological developments permitted in today’s historic scene have enabled competitors to exact a level of performance out of unlikely candidates that would have been impossible 60 years ago.
