Dating from early 1946, this CJ-2A (#19701) is a VEC (Very Early Civilian) and one of the sought-after 'transition' examples
Because it was built immediately after World War II, early CJ-2As like #19701 often used leftover, unmachined military parts from the Willys MB wartime production line, making them a fascinating mechanical hybrid
Imported into the UK and correctly registered on 13/08/1980, it has been fully restored to WWII-spec, reportedly some 14 years ago, and continues to present well today
Recent cosmetic and practical improvements include a set of new tyres fitted in 2024, a replacement American Canvas rear tonneau cover, a new silencer and a new battery
