Description
First shown in London at the October 1966 Earls Court Motor Show, the Jensen Interceptor Mk l was produced for just three years and only 1,024 examples were built, of which just 923 were in right-hand drive
Chassis #115/2584 (aka ‘Lola’ to our vendor) is an intriguing example; being a very early West Bromwich built car, it retains some earlier Vignale-built specification parts, including window switches, Beechwood fillets to the front screen, a stainless-steel bonnet pull, 'hockey sticks' to side windows, Jensen side emblem, an emergency boot release (a wire-pull underneath the car), and recesses in the rear of the backseats (to house rear window demisting fans) Fitted with a rare Black Ambla interior and even rarer front-end modifications, including power steering added by way of removing the outmoded kingpin front suspension of the Mk I and adding the superior independent, coil-sprung, ball-jointed wishbone suspension of the Mk II, all sleeved and completed by Jensen Motors Ltd Camp...
