Background:
Mercedes-Benz entered the premium pickup market with the X-Class in 2017, combining the practicality and load-carrying ability expected of a working pickup with the presentation, equipment and refinement associated with the three-pointed star.
Developed in conjunction with the Nissan Navara, the X-Class was nevertheless given a distinctly Mercedes-Benz identity, with its own exterior styling, interior treatment and chassis tuning.

The result was a pickup intended to work equally well as a practical commercial vehicle and as everyday transport.

Marketed as the world's first true "premium" pickup, it was built as part of a joint venture with Nissan and shares its core chassis, platform, and engine setup with the popular Nissan Navara. 
The X250d is powered by a Nissan-sourced engine but heavily tuned by Mercedes-Benz for improved refinement and acoustic comfort.
