Condition

7

The listing states the car is in good condition for its age and mileage, with excellent shut lines and a good depth of shine. The cream leather interior is a highlight. However, it also mentions that 'some fair wear and tear should be expected commensurate with a motor car now approaching 20 years old and having covered 76,600 miles.' The MOT is advisory-free, but the mention of fair wear and tear indicates it's not in Excellent or Outstanding condition.

Background: Mercedes-Benz has a long tradition of producing luxurious, high-performance coupés, and the CL-Class represented the top of the range during the early 2000s.

The CL600 (W216/C216 generation) , produced between 2006 and 2014, was the pinnacle "business jet for the road" luxury grand tourer.

Positioned as the pillarless coupé counterpart to the flagship W221 S-Class, it combined immense V12 performance with a library-quiet cabin and cutting-edge mid-2000s electronics.

Motivation was provided by a 5.5-litre twin-turbo (BiTurbo) V12 petrol engine (M275) offering 517bhp at 5,000rpm and 612lb/ft of torque from just 1,800rpm all fed through a five-speed automatic transmission and enabling 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and a (limited) 155mph.

The striking pillarless design features a sweeping side profile with completely unobstructed glass windows when rolled down (no B-pillar) over a sumptuous interior trimmed with Passion Exclusive leather across the entire dashboard and door trims...
