Introduced during the 1950s as affordable transport for post-war Europe, the Messerschmitt Kabinenroller quickly became one of the most recognisable microcars ever produced.
Designed by aircraft engineer Fritz Fend and built by aircraft manufacturer Messerschmitt, its distinctive tandem seating, lightweight construction and aircraft-inspired controls set it apart from its contemporaries.
Following the success of the enclosed KR200, the open-top KR201 Roadster was introduced in far smaller numbers, offering the same entertaining driving experience with a simpler windscreen arrangement and sporting appearance.
Today it ranks among the rarest and most sought-after Messerschmitt variants, with only a handful of original examples known to survive.
Offered here is an exceptional 1958 Messerschmitt KR201 Roadster, understood to be one of approximately 20 surviving original examples worldwide.
