That philosophy remains at the heart of the modern Abarth brand and arguably reached its peak with the 695 Biposto.

Unveiled in 2014, the Biposto was conceived as the most extreme road-going Abarth ever produced.

Stripped of unnecessary weight, fitted with extensive carbon fibre components and developed with genuine motorsport intent, it blurred the line between hot hatch and track car.

Weighing little more than 1,000kg and powered by a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine producing 190bhp, the Biposto delivered performance that belied its diminutive dimensions and quickly earned a reputation as one of the most entertaining front-wheel drive cars of its era.
