Background:Introduced in 1958, the Land Rover Series II represented a significant development of the original post-war Land Rover concept.

Retaining the rugged ladder-frame chassis and aluminium body construction that had proven so successful, the new model featured revised styling by David Bache, including the distinctive curved body sides that would become a defining feature of the Series II generation.
Available in both 88-inch and 109-inch wheelbase forms, the Series II quickly established itself as one of the most versatile vehicles of its time.

Whether used in agriculture, industry or by the military, its combination of mechanical simplicity, durability and exceptional off-road capability ensured its place as a working vehicle in even the most demanding environments.
The Car:First registered in 1959, this Land Rover Series II 88" presents as a wonderfully aged and characterful example that has retained much of its original charm.

Finished in its original Bronze Green paintwork...
