Introduced in late August 1959 the first Minis were known as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini-Minor until 1962 when they became the Austin and Morris Mini 850 respectively
Dating from April 1960, this example represents the earliest chapter of Mini production and is now highly sought-after, with early Mk1 examples featuring numerous detail differences valued by collectors
Sold by H.A.Saunders Ltd in Worcester, it's finished in Tartan Red with a red and gold brocade vinyl interior, retaining correct early features including sliding windows, pull-cord door handles, floor-mounted push-button starter and period-correct steel wheels
