This impressive left-hand drive 1979 Escort and its power unit were built by Kevin Davies Motorsport in 2022 to the ultimate FIA Group 4 tarmac rally spec, with a very competitive 2.0-litre BDG engine and a ZF 5 speed gearbox.

It features Bilstein front and Reiger rear suspension, fully developed and sorted, and the whole car was built to replicate a full period Works specification.

The result is a competitive, front running FIA Historic Escort, capable of competing in Europe at the very top level in its class or at any FIA or similar historic tarmac event today.

It’s accompanied by FIA HTP papers valid until 31st December 2033, an International Competition Logbook, its UK V5C and a current MOT.

Its first event was the Manx Rally at the end of 2022 in which it dominated, winning the class outright.
