Description
The 1972 Chevrolet Camaro RS (Rally Sport) is a standout of the second-generation 'F-body' line-up, specifically prized for its unique, European-inspired front-end styling.
Unlike the SS and Z28 performance packages, the RS was primarily an appearance upgrade (RPO Z22) that could be added to almost any trim level.
The new model's most distinctive feature was the split front bumper (bumperettes) paired with a large, central grille cavity and round parking lights located on the upper portion of the grille, however, the remarkable example on offer here bears very little resemblance to the 1972 Camaro you could expect to find in a period Chevrolet showroom.
Imported from Nevada, this left-hand drive, second-generation, split bumper car was UK road registered and has been subject to a bespoke build commissioned by EBC Brakes as an open-budget project carried out by Carcass (speed shop/bodybuilders) in conjunction with Power
Nation TV for their You
Tube channel.
