Introduced in 1979 to celebrate 50 years of MG production at Abingdon, the Limited Edition (LE) models were the last built there before the factory's closure in October 1980.

This 1981 MG B GT LE marks the final chapter of the MG B’s production line at Abingdon, one of just 520 GT Limited Edition examples built alongside 480 LE Roadsters.

Designed as a farewell tribute, the GT LE was distinguished by Pewter Metallic paint, silver-grey interior trim, alloy wheels, and special LE badging throughout.

Under the bonnet sits the standard 1.8-litre B-Series inline-four with twin SU carburettors, producing c.97bhp and 105lb/ft torque, coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

For enthusiasts, this car represents both historical significance and a rare opportunity to own one of the very last MG B GTs.
