AI Listing Summary

This is a rare, right-hand drive 1968 Lancia Flavia Pininfarina coupé, assembled in South Africa. It features a 1.8-liter flat-four engine, manual transmission, and original Capri Blue finish. While the car has rust and cosmetic imperfections, it has a solid chassis, a running engine, and a well-preserved interior, making it a great candidate for restoration.

Condition

6

The car presents well from a distance, but there are areas of lacquer damage, scuffs and scratches, as well as the beginnings of rust bubbling up beneath the paint, particularly on the doors and boot lid. The interior of the Flavia has survived remarkably well, with the original tan vinyl upholstery showing some light patina. Given these imperfections, along with the pin-hole leak in the fuel tank, a condition rating of 6 (Good) is appropriate.

Designed by Pininfarina, the two-door coupé quickly became a design icon and is now highly prized by collectors, particularly in rare right-hand drive form.

The Flavia was also notable for its advanced mechanicals, including a mechanical fuel-injection system akin to that used by contemporary Porsche 911s.

Though production numbers were modest, with just over 105,000 units built, many examples have fallen victim to the ravages of time and rust.

Consequently, finding an example like this — in such good c...
