Once synonymous with forest rallying and Colin McRae, the Subaru name returned to motorsport for the 2016 season of the British Touring Car Championship with the Levorg Estate.

Subaru UK lent their official blessing and support to Team BMR’s 2016 Touring Car bid, with the Hertfordshire-based team impressing the manufacturer with a healthy budget and previous BTCC success.

The offer of cars and a commitment for three years support came, giving Subaru a cost-effective way to get the kind of television exposure that would normally cost much, much more.

BMR saying 'The Levorg is essentially perfect for an NGTC; within the rules, it is all about the engine and the positioning of its centre of gravity.
