AI Listing Summary

This 1973 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow MKI, featured in ITV's 'Nolly,' requires recommissioning despite running well and having new mechanical parts and service history. With an estimated price of £5000-6000, it's a potentially wise buy for classic car enthusiasts, especially with rising prices for these models.

Condition

6

The car is described as 'ripe but for some minor recommissioning,' indicating moderate wear and the need for some refurbishment. It 'starts and drives well' suggesting it is mechanically functional, but not in pristine condition. The presence of 'some new mechanical parts' implies previous wear and tear, and the mention of 'two service books' points to a maintenance history, but not necessarily a flawless condition. Therefore, a rating of 'Good (6)' seems appropriate.

Most models used a 3-speed automatic gearbox, though early UK models featured a 4-speed automatic.
A 1968 model typical of the early series produced approximately 200hp at 4,000rpm, achieving 0-60mph in roughly 10.9 seconds.

It utilised a sophisticated high-pressure hydraulic system (licensed from Citroën) for dual-circuit braking and highly effective self-levelling suspensio...
