1970 MORRIS MINOR LCV PICKUPThe 1970 Morris Minor pickup represents the final evolution of the iconic Morris Minor LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) line, produced just before production ended in 1971.Featuring the 1098cc A-Series engine, the largest standard unit for the model.Unlike the monocoque saloon, the pickup uses a separate chassis to handle commercial loads.By 1970, these were typically 8cwt (hundredweight) models, featuring heavier rear springs compared to earlier 6cwt versions.Many 1970 models are technically badged as Austins, a rebranding move by BMC/British Leyland to maintain a commercial presence in Austin showrooms after the A35 was discontinued but this one retains its Morris branding.This beautifully restored example dating to 1970 and showing just 72000 miles benefits from an alternator and servo assisted brakes.Fully restored in 2003 using period parts, the vehicle was re-registered with an E suffix numberplate although the V5 states the vehicle being 1970.Chrome h...
