1927 WOLSELEY 16/45 E6 'SILENT SIX' PRAM-HOOD OPEN TOURER WITH DICKEY SEATThe 1927 Wolseley 16/45 introduced as the brands first six-cylinder car with an overhead camshaft but the final model of the original company, before being handed over to William Morris, had a purported maximum speed of 60mph. It had a 2,025cm3 engine and was recognised for its smooth, flexible and quiet running, rather than high speed performance hence the affectionate name 'the silent six'.This example is believed to be one of just three open tourers- and only twenty one 16/45s known to have survived.Starting and driving well, the magneto has been refurbished, both seat squabs have been recovered and the carpet made to fit.

The fuel tank has been removed and rinsed and the Autovac body was renewed.At some stage, the vehicle has had a replacement engine block.
