The quintessential British sportster could only be hand-built in the Malvern Hills, the perfect setting for ‘wind in the hair’ motoring and birthplace of a marque founded at the turn of the last century.

Having left engineering college, HFS Morgan set up his garage in 1906 and developed his first vehicle: a bespoke three-wheeler.

It was 1936 before the first four-wheeled Morgan appeared, known as the 4/4.

Replaced by the more powerful Plus 4, the 4/4 returned in the mid-1950s and utilized various Ford engines until 1980.

The subsequent decade introduced the Ford 1597cc CVH unit, which offered brisk performance with good economy.

Remaining in craftsman production in Worcestershire until 2018, the 4/4 remains high on the list of must-own classic sports cars.
Historics are pleased to offer this lovely Morgan on behalf of its current custodian.

Supplied new by Lifes Motors in Southport—the oldest Morgan specialist in the world—this 4/4 left their premises in June 1982.
