The Mini continues to be one of the world’s most recognisable and well-loved automobiles, and was produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959-2000.

The original is undoubtedly an icon of 1960s Britain, and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout, allowing 80% of the area of the car's floorplan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced generations of car design.

The first Mini had three major updates in the UK: the Mk.

II, Clubman, and Mk.

III.

Within these were a series of variations including an estate car, a pick-up and a van.

The Mini Cooper and Cooper ‘S’ were sportier variations, and hugely successful in motorsports, winning the Monte Carlo Rally four times from 1964 through to 1967.
This yellow example was supplied new by Page Motors Leatherhead on 20th June 1980.
