Featuring retro-styling, a retractable hardtop, and a pickup truck bed, it was produced between 2003 and 2006, with a total run of 24,112.
Sales were unfruitful at the time, despite mammoth marketing efforts – including the use of an SSR as the pace car for the 2003 Indy 500 – meaning these models are very rare indeed, especially in the UK.
All SSRs included luxury leather-trimmed bucket seats as standard, while teak decking for the rear cargo compartment was optional.
Under the bonnet sits a 5.3-litre V8 coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.
