The 155 had already carved out a reputation thanks to its sharp Italian design and impressive motorsport pedigree, particularly in touring car racing, where it dominated championships across Europe.

By the late 1990s, however, Alfa Romeo were preparing to replace it with the 156, so the Final Edition served as a special farewell to the model, aimed at true enthusiasts.

At its heart was the legendary 2.5 litre ‘Busso’ V6 engine, an all-aluminium masterpiece celebrated for its smooth power delivery, distinctive intake note and unmistakable exhaust sound.

The Final Edition produced around 190bhp, channelled through a five-speed manual gearbox to the front wheels.
