Two versions were offered; the Scorpion, a fully enclosed cockpit, and the Monaco, an open top offering.

To achieve the strength required for the convertible, partners that had worked for the Chevron and Shadow racing teams designed the space frame chassis.

Not only would this chassis handle superbly but would also increase cabin space for improved driver and passenger comfort over the original.

The ABS Scorpion kit car was produced from 1986 until 1991 with American V8 power.
