There is very good reason why the Ferdinand 'Ferry' Porsche 356 is recreated the world over by numerous manufactures.

The four-cylinder, VW based engine is easy to work on, the performance is sprightly and the handling is nimble.

Most of all, however, it looks great and some examples are so good, it's hard to tell them apart from the real thing.

This example has a modified version of the original Volkswagen Beetle chassis with a wide, US-built body and competition-style wheels.

Power comes from the rear 1600cc motor complete with race-cam.

It has been used by the vendor for many years both around town and longer journeys to his house in the South of France.

In 2010, he had the entire car rebuilt including the engine, interior and paintwork.

It has been used little since then except that the gearbox that was rebuilt in 2021.
