The great arrival of the Brigand (and non-turbocharged Britannia) saw Bristol cars adopt the names of the once famous Bristol Aeroplane Company.
The Brigand had a Rotomeister turbocharger added to its mighty Chrysler V8 engine as well as a torque converter to cope with the extra performance which saw the Brigand capable of a top speed of 150mph, particularly quick for such a large sports coupé.
It was distinguishable from the Britannia by the bulge in the bonnet needed to accommodate the turbocharger and alloy wheels as standard.
This handsome righthand drive example has been repainted in August 2011, finished in Caribbean Blue using new window rubbers when refitting the glass.
It has also been complimented by a nicely patinated grey leather interior.
The carpets have been recently renewed, as was the headlining and the rear parcel shelf – which was in fact re-covered to match the interior.
