The Bentley Turbo R initially inherited the turbocharged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo and also sported a retuned suspension and wider tyres on alloy wheels, quite a departure for a Bentley.

From the 1987 model year, however, the Turbo R's V8 engine was retuned with new Bosch MK-Motronic fuel injection for added torque.

Other modifications carried out at the same time included new sports seats and a higher rear axle ratio.

Motor Trend called the Turbo R ‘the first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name’.

The suspension changes, though seemingly subtle, transformed the heavy car into a real performer and slotted above the Bentley Mulsanne S and Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit and it carved a well-deserved niche in the world of performance saloons.

This regal Turbo R long wheelbase with the desirable floor change gearbox was first registered on 9th December 1996.

It is presented with Royal Blue coachwork which is complemented by sumptuous Parchment leather interior.
