These first models had basic, utilitarian interior that featured vinyl seats, plastic dashboards and were designed to be washed out by hose.
The Range Rover was built as a body-on frame design with a box section, ladder type chassis similar to contemporary Land Rovers and enjoyed similar off-road capability.
To maintain the popularity of this already successful model, Land Rover enhanced the Range Rover specification to include power assisted steering, carpeted floors and air conditioning
