Probably the only car that will ever be produced as a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren and with a production run of just 500 units, the McLaren SLR Roadster is destined to be a true collector’s car.
Produced at McLaren’s Woking factory, the specification was incredible from the immensely powerful 5.5 litre supercharged V8 developing 626bhp, accelerating from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and reaching an eye watering 207mph top speed, making it the most expensive and fastest convertible Mercedes-Benz has ever produced.
Introduced in November 2003, it was Mercedes-Benz's foray into the world of the supercar, alongside such greats as the Porsche Carrera GT and the Ferrari Enzo.
While Ferrari and Porsche pursued creating the best all-out supercars that the world had ever seen, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren attempted to create a car that combined the best aspects of supercars with that of grand tourers.
