AI Listing Summary

This 1916 Talbot 4CY, chassis 8529, boasts a unique history, having served as Qantas Airways' first car and later restored as a balloon car. With a 2,610cc engine and four-speed transmission, it has completed various European rallies and features an 'instant start' mechanism, though its re-bodied form and work history may influence its collector value.

While the car has been restored and participated in rallies, the re-bodying as a balloon car and the history of being a work vehicle might affect its value as a collector's item. The recent rear axle overhaul is a plus, but the overall condition relative to originality and historical significance needs consideration.
