Mercedes-Benz spent over half a billion pounds researching and developing the 190 E model (W201) and subsequently reported it to be 'massively over-engineered'.

Features included patented rear five-link suspension subsequently used in the C and E Class ranges, front and rear anti-roll bars, anti-dive and anti-squat geometry, ABS Brakes and seatbelt pre-tensioners, plus the 190 E had a turning circle virtually unbeatable within its class.

Today this model is frequently hallowed as being the last of the bullet proof build Mercedes-Benz.

This 2.6 litre example dates from 1990 and benefits from an array of luxury appointments, including metallic paintwork, beige leather/M-Tex upholstery, four headrests, centre armrest, electronic sunroof/windows /passenger wing mirror, air conditioning, ABS brakes, 15" alloy wheels, tinted windows and automatic four speed gearbox with sports mode.
