According to the Alfa Romeo museum in Milan, this wonderfully original matching numbers GT1300 Junior was manufactured on 1 st March 1968 and sold to Alfa Romeo Switzerland, Agno, with a body colour of Alfa red and black Skai interior.

The GT1300 Junior was fitted with the 1,290cc twin cam engine.

The smaller engine was introduced in order to allow buyers to choose an Alfa Romeo coupé while avoiding the higher taxes on the models with larger engine capacity, especially in Alfa Romeo's home Italian market.

The GT1300 Junior remained in production for over a decade.

This particular car is a perfect example of the first series, having the 'Scalino' step-nose bonnet and features the beautiful and very rare flat dashboard only fitted to the first series cars.
