Faulk's Hall, the land upon which the eponymous company based its first factory was situated on the south side of the River Thames.
The 13th century Knight Faulk Le Brent owned the land and, curiously enough, when Faulks Hall (or Vauxhall) moved their works to Luton in 1907, it turned out that that land was also owned by the same man.
