Buick introduced the '40' model in 1930, and production continued until interruption by World War II.
Buick replaced the 40 in 1959.
The 1939 Buick 40 eight-cylinder engine generated about 107 horsepower at 3,400 rpm.
It produced 203 foot-pounds of torque at 1000 rpm.
Discovered in Scotland and purchased for filming as a 'Hero' car, underneath the shiny blue paint it required a fair amount of metalwork and as such cast itself as a stunt car.
