MOT – Exempt The vendor informs us this Austin Champ, chassis 5276, was purchased by his late father at the 25th Bowhouse sale held by Dixon & Wallace in Glasgow in June 1965.

It then remained in the same family ownership for the next 25 years, before passing to Fiona and Garry Morton – well-known within Champ circles – from whom it was acquired by the vendor around a decade ago.

Presented in very good order and reported to run well, the Champ has recently benefited from servicing that included a fuel pump overhaul and partial carburettor refurbishment.

Retaining its 2.8-litre Rolls-Royce B40 four-cylinder petrol engine and military fittings, it carries the Royal Corps of Transport insignia to the bonnet and is supplied with its correct user handbook alongside a V5C.
