This notably fine-looking post-war Singer is one of only c.1000 4AB models built by the company.

It was despatched new to the supplying dealer, G.

Healey & Son of Gloucester, on October 25, 1951, and issued with the registration ‘LLD 336’ the following month.

The Roadster is understood to have been fitted with a larger 10hp OHC engine at some stage, otherwise little is known of its history until it was discovered in a mothballed state in 1986 by the previous owner.

He finally managed to purchase the car in 2017 and treated it to a major renovation the following year.

The work included: rebuilding the ash frame; stripping and Wax Oyling the chassis; renewing the interior trim, hood, tonneau cover and wiring; and reconditioning the engine.

The vendor purchased the almost completed but non-running car from an auction in 2021, and has subsequently refurbished the starter motor, dynamo, distributor and carburettor, and now presents it for sale in full working order.
