According to the founder of the Viva Owner’s Club, Adrian Miller, ‘SBP 196E’ is one of only seven Brabham Viva’s left in existence.

It is a car he knows well too, as he has been one of the 11 keepers it’s had to date.

He informs us that it remains original except for its Viva GT bonnet and instruments, and the fact that at some stage it has been converted from automatic to manual transmission.

Interestingly, he notes that it’s also one of six Brabhams to be equipped with a stainless steel exhaust system copied from an original Brabham design, which he says ‘sounds fantastic’! The car matches white bodywork to black interior trim and carries the correct wing and bonnet striping that distinguishes a Brabham Viva from standard SL/90 HB models.

It also comes complete with no less than three external rear view mirrors, a pair of auxiliary driving lights, woodrim steering wheel and a radio/CD player.
