On the face of it, the only thing this fine-looking lefthand drive XK150 is lacking is somebody to jump in and enjoy it, as it has had an enormous amount of time and money lavished upon since it was repatriated in 2013.

The roadster (or OTS in Jaguar speak) was despatched new to Jaguar Cars New York on December 17, 1958 and since returning to these shores has been stripped and rebuilt from stem to stern.

The chassis that only needed a few repairs has been seam welded along the back rails, sand-blasted, primed and painted in two-pack gloss.

The suspension parts were also blasted and zinc plated or painted.

A complete new rear section of body was hand-crafted by Bill Lawrence & Son of Lymington, Hants, together with some front wing sections and headlamp pods.

The completion of the body repairs (including the installation of new door skins, sills and floors) was entrusted to renowned E-Type engineer Joe Dymott.
