Debuting in 1938, two years after its Roadster sibling, the Morgan 4/4 Series One Drophead Coupe boasted fixed side windows and a snugger fitting soft-top.
The result was not only better weather protection but also reduced buffeting at speed.
Initially powered by an 1122cc OISE Coventry-Climax engine, the newcomer was upgraded with a more powerful Standard Special 1267cc OHV unit from 1939 onwards.
