• Understood to have been restored during the 1980s • Current ownership since 2015 • Nicely mellowed Black coachwork with Brown leatherette upholstery • Due to be driven to the sale and MOT’d into July 2027 The Wolseley Hornet was unveiled at the end of April 1930 and offered as a saloon, coupe and open two-seater as well as a rolling chassis for bespoke coachwork.

Produced by Wolseley from 1930 to 1936, it was initially powered by a 1271cc six-cylinder engine, described by Motor Sport as a ‘miniature six’ which, because of its overhead camshaft, developed a positive reputation on the road and in competition.

Following acquisition of Wolseley by Morris, the Hornet was replaced by Morris’s badge-engineered Wolseley 12/48 in April 1936.

Finished in Black with Brown leathercloth upholstery, this particular example is understood to have been restored during the 1980s.
