• Benefiting from many performance upgrades • Understood to be developing 320bhp with a dyno sheet provided • Improved further by the vendor in his ownership • Offered with book pack, sundry invoices and V5C In 2002, Ford launched the Focus RS, returning the famous title to one of its cars for the first time since the Escort RS Cosworth.

It was inspired by Colin McRae’s WRC exploits and featured a 2.0-litre Duratec RS engine with advanced turbocharging system and oil-spray cooled pistons to achieve more power.

Externally, the car looked far more imposing than a regular Focus helped by a competition-inspired interior featuring leather and Alcantara Sparco seats.

The car took a number of styling cues from the WRC car and even used custom 18” OZ Racing alloy wheels as a nod to its competition cousin.

By the end of production, just 2,164 RHD Focus RS Mk1’s were built.

Finished in Imperial Blue Metallic, this RS is understood to have been subject to and extensive restoration completed ...
