The Triumph Dolomite 14/60 Foursome Coupé, introduced in the late 1930s, was a sophisticated British sports tourer that embodied the elegance and innovation of its era.

Designed under the technical direction of Donald Healey, the Dolomite was Triumph’s bold response to the financial hardship of the early 1930s.

It featured advanced engineering for its time, including an all-alloy overhead-valve engine with cross-flow cylinder head, a four-speed gearbox with synchromesh on the upper three ratios, and a cruciform-braced chassis that allowed for more spacious body designs.

Stylistically, the Dolomite stood out with its Art Deco-inspired ‘waterfall’ grille and distinctive “Winged Goddess” mascot, modelled after a famous dancer.

Walter Belgrove, one of Britain’s leading automotive stylists, was responsible for its sleek and modern bodywork.

Buyers could choose from several body styles, including four-door sports saloons and the Foursome drophead coupé.
