A real super saloon with an aluminium body, the X350-series Jaguar XJR was powered by a 4.2-litre supercharged V8 engine allied to a new six-speed ZF automatic transmission, said to offer better economy.
With a quoted 395bhp, the model was reputedly capable of 155mph.
