Intended as a spiritual successor to pre-war sports cars such as the MG M-type and Austin Seven Nippy, the original Austin-Healey Sprite, launched in May 1958, arose from the partnership between Donald Healey and Austin's Leonard Lord.

30 years on from it's inception, a gentleman named Keith Brading and his team at the Frogeye Car Company set about recapturing the spirit of 1950's open top motoring with 1990's engineering and reliability.

Under the guidance of Geoffrey Healey himself, these MG Midget based sports cars boasted a more powerful 1275cc engine and were constructed with GRP body panels helping keep weight down and make rust a thing of the past.
