Jaguar's XJ Saloon was introduced in 1968 and was the last model to have the personal input of Sir William Lyons.

The striking Pillarless Coupé was first shown five years later, though production didn't commence until 1975.

There were two engine options: a 4.2-litre DOHC XK unit and the silky 5.3-litre V12.

Just 1,800 V12 coupés were produced in total until production finished in 1978.


This very rare XJ-C V12 must be one of the lowest-mileage survivors, although it is now in need of significant restoration after forty years off the road.
